Frequently Asked Questions
Below you can find answers to some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about your child’s dental health.
Do you accept insurance?
Our office will bill most all insurance companies for our patients. Dr. Brandon is a participating provider with ODS, Delta Dental, and Washington Dental Service. Dental insurance coverage is dependent upon the specific plan, benefits, and guidelines worked out between the employer and dental insurance company. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact us at: (503) 620-2777.
We have several children, and scheduling is important to us. Do you run on time, and will you see all my children at once?
Our office is especially designed to accommodate multiple siblings. In addition, we take great pride in our ability to stay on time. Please let us know if you have specific time constraints.
My child has special needs. Can you help us?
Yes! Dr. Brandon has completed additional years of training in order to care for children with special needs.
My child is nervous in the dental office. How can you help?
It is quite common for children to feel anxious about visiting the dentist. A child-focused office design as well as years of experience with children can have a tremendously positive effect of a child’s impression of routine dental care. These anxieties, while common, can be influenced by a number of factors including previous medical experiences or even a parent’s own experiences with dentistry. We look forward to hearing each child’s unique history in order to make their visit the best it can be.
This is my child's first visit to the dentist. How can I prepare them?
To give kids a glimpse of what to expect on their first trip, try showing them our video (link back to the kids view video) of a kid’s view of Kona Kids. Be sure to tell them that every kid that comes to Kona Kids gets their own special prize to take home! In addition, there are several books about the first dental visit such as Dora’s Visit to the Dentist
